some drama/movie thoughts
honestly, i think i'm kinda hard to please when it comes to movies and tv series. I have a much worse attention span than i care to admit lol and have to be very taken by something to actively want to continue watching it.
That being said, give me an -angsty coming of age not romance focused generally unlikable characters- piece of media + i will eat it up !!
Extracurricular (2020, 10 episodes)
Young adult matters (2021, 2h7m)
Extraordinary Attorney Woo Youngwoo (2022, 16 episodes)
Itaewon class (2020, 16 episodes)
I've watched more kdramas/movies than this ofc, but these are the only ones i have any thoughts i wanted to dump about haha

Extracurricular (2020, 10 episodes)
- I watched this in 2020, started rewatching it with my sister today and remembered why i love it so much
- look bae gyuri isn't nice, she's annoying and selfish and the general cause of a lot of the problems, i love her.
- I also liked the ending which is IMPORTANT to me when watching a drama, but ik a lot of people hated it lol (I do see why though)
- The themes in this kdrama are dark. I do think it handles them quite well too
- The ost is good, like really good (especially "freak"-kim sawol !! such a good song !! and so fitting !!)
- Anyway this is possibly my favourite kdrama i've ever watched + i recommend if you're looking for something a bit more angsty than the usual :]
Young adult matters (2021, 2h7m)
- Watched this movie the other day, I wasn't aware Hani was such a good actor omg
- The plot was in all honesty, okay?? I thought I would like it more than I did
- The scene in the train station got me though I was sobbing, it was very well done
- Probably not a film I'll watch again but the cinematography was beautiful tbh
Extraordinary Attorney Woo Youngwoo (2022, 16 episodes)
- I enjoyed it a lot !! I do think the first half of the series was better than the latter half, but it was all enjoyable
- ♥️ attorney Jung ♥️
- I think as well that Youngwoo's autism was handled well + it was clear they had put quite a bit of research into autistic traits in order to still be respectful. I think they generally did a good job with this
- idk if I want a season two or not,, like I do but worry that it may be ruined with a season two ahhh
- the romance line was cute but I wish it didn't become such a main focus ?? like i think it retracted from the main plot a little...
Itaewon class (2020, 16 episodes)
- I watched this a while back too, when there was a lot of hype around it
- It was good, but honestly it wasn't great ??
- I felt like it went on for a bit too long to be honest, another case of me enjoying the first half of a series quite a lot but being disappointed as it continues on
- I probably won't rewatch it but I reckon I might like it more if I did lol, I don't think I thought about the characters too much when I was watching it + didn't feel particularly attached to any of them
- the GRIP this show had on me during summer 2020
- the characters were all interesting, and the themes were good too
- and the soundtrack omgggg the song "A-teen" is what really introduced me to seventeen hah
- I probably wouldn't watch this now bc i'm no longer in highschool and don't relate to it as much, but it was so enjoyable to watch when i did :)
